Get Involved

Join Us June 8th!

Youth and families are invited to participate in the Y Tough & Mini Y Tough, a fun competition to celebrate your healthy lifestyle, scheduled for Saturday June 8.

Y-tough is going to challenge your body to the ultimate level. The competition will measure your physical strength and endurance

Competitors will perform feats of strength for reps at every station and then traverse through the obstacles to get to the next station. The last event is a run along our course with a sandbag.

21st Century Grant Program

The 21st Century Grant is a cooperative agreement between Sierra High School and the Southeast YMCA to provide academic and enrichment opportunities for Sierra High School students and their siblings. The Southeast Y provides daily afterschool programs such as Fitness, Cooking, Environmental Club, Martial Arts, Photography, Photoshop, Video Editing and access to the Intel Computer Clubhouse. Students simply need to provide a photo ID and sign up for classes in advance at the Y's front desk or at Sierra HS during lunch on Monday or Wednesday in the cafeteria.

Leadership opportunities are also available for service learning projects, mentoring and trips to leadership events in the Colorado Springs area for students who demonstrate leadership in the clubs or in the Intel Computer Clubhouse.

The Southeast YMCA in conjuction with the 21st Century Grant Program strives to provide a positive and safe place for teens to engage in service learning and recreational activities, community leadership, and programs that enhance leadership skills.
