My personal and professional life experience has brought me to the YMCA of Pikes Peak Region, and the amazing Camp Shady Brook. My background began many moons ago when I joined the United States Navy as a Culinary Specialist. I spent 10 years in the Navy, traveling all around the world cooking for Foreign Dignitary, Admirals and Commanding Officers as well as two Sea tours. I am a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu, yes (Julia Childs is an alumni). I also have a Business Degree from Keiser University. I have held many Executive Chef Positions from Merchant Mariner, Country Clubs, American Cruise Lines, and a Culinary Arts Teacher. My attention to detail, organizational skills, cooking high quantity healthy foods, Nutritional and Dietary restrictions, and Management attributes has allowed me to be a part of an exceptional organization in the YMCA and Camp Shady Brook. I bring a strong background in the Food Industry and I am always excited to put happy faces on our campers, groups, and staff after eating amazing healthy and nutritional foods.
