Youth Basketball

The YMCA’s basketball program is geared toward learning the basic fundamentals of dribbling, passing, shooting, rebounding and defense. Emphasis on team play, overall gameplay and concepts are introduced. The program is offered in the fall and winter seasons.

2018 Winter Basketball

Registration Begins October 16

Ages: Preschool — Grade 12
Early Registration Period: October 16 — December 12
Practices Begin: Week of January 8, 2018
Season (8 games): January 20 – March 10, 2018
YMCA Locations: Briargate, Downtown, Garden Ranch, Southeast and Tri-Lakes

Volunteer Coaches

We rely 100% on Volunteer Coaches here at the Y to teach our youth athletes the fundamentals of the game! We would love to have you out on the court helping the participants in our programs and making a difference in your community. If you, or anyone you may know, are interested in coaching a basketball team here at the YMCA or would like to know more information, please let us know.
