Snow Closures & Delays

Before & After School Locations

If school has not been put on a delay or has not been canceled before 6:00 a.m. we will open for our Before School program. If the following situations occur, please follow the proper procedure. If you have any questions regarding closures, please contact your local Y.

  • If school is on delayed start: The YMCA program will offer care at 8:30 a.m. The YMCA will open for After School Care at the regular scheduled time and will close at 6:00 p.m.
    *Harrison School District 2 sites will not open.*
  • If school is canceled: The YMCA program will open at a local YMCA Branch from 8:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Information will be sent via email and will be posted on the YMCA website. 
  • If school is canceled while your child is in school: The YMCA program will not offer care.
  • If after-school programs are canceled by the district due to weather: The YMCA program will not offer care.
  • In any of the above situations, the YMCA reserves the right to cancel the program due to hazardous road conditions. Our main concern is for the safety of your children, your family, and our staff.

Care will be provided at the regular on-site location.

Snow Day Closure

Care start time

8:30 a.m.

Care end time

6:00 p.m.

Care will be provided at a local YMCA branch specified in email communication.

Before & After School Care Program

We will provide care at a nearby YMCA branch.
Branch info will be available on the website and will be sent via email the morning of each snow day.
