Kids to Camp Golf Tournament
Presented by Executive Coatings & Contracting, Inc.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the YMCA Kids to Camp Golf Tournament and Bash for Cash Event that took place on May 18. With 23 sponsors, 148 tournament players, and over 150 Bash for Cash Party attendees, the 2010 YMCA Kids to Camp Event raised more than $24,000 to provide low-income underserved children in our community an opportunity to attend Summer Youth programs at the Downtown YMCA and YMCA Camp Shady Brook.

Special thanks to our event committee members: Johnny Nolan, Marty Galindo, Kathy Haynes, James Byrnes, Dave Reitan, and Rachel Cox; the terrific staff from Southside Johnny’s and the Olive Branch who helped with the tournament contests and event refreshments.

And to our event sponsors: Executive Coatings & Contracting, Inc., Bestway Disposal, GE Johnson Construction, First General Services of Colo Spg, Bible Electric, Waste Management, Three Olives Vodka, Wedbush Securities, Inc., Backstrom Family Charitable Fund, Jennifer Marino Keller Williams Clients Choice Realty,  John Greene American Family Insurance, Advantage Workplace Services, Barista Expresso, Star Trac, Heuser & Heuser, LLP, Advanced Impressions, Joe Winston Law Firm, Copy Experts, Pepsi, Red Bull and Rocky Mountain Coors.

Summer Sports Camps

Looking for an activity this summer to keep your child busy while having fun and learning new sport skills? Downtown YMCA Sports Camps provide a great camp experience, emphasizing skill development in a creative, fun and challenging environment where campers have the opportunity to develop both as athletes and as individuals.

This is a great opportunity to introduce your child to a new sport or sharpen their existing game. We have everyone’s favorite sports including Basketball, Soccer, Baseball and Swimming. Sessions are open to youth ages 6-12.

Camps encourage participants to develop sport skills while having fun regardless of ability or experience.

If you are unable to pay the full cost of YMCA memberships or programs, you may apply for assistance based on your financial situation. And now the YMCA is more accessible than ever before. Our new income-based rate scale provides more opportunities for families and individuals to become a part of all that the YMCA has to offer.

To ensure that all campers receive the highest quality experience possible, we must limit enrollment for each session. Space is limited so register now!
